With over 80 years of Brass Band experience, KMJ Recordings was founded in 2004 with a view to bringing location recording services of the highest quality within the reach of all Brass Bands. The company delivers a first class service from initial planning through to the finished product and at a competitive price.
As part of the company's ongoing commitment to the promotion of new repertoire, we have made a number of premiere recordings and commissioned new works from exciting new composers and arrangers – including Peter Meechan and Andrew Baker. Peter Meechan, former Composer in Residence for the Black Dyke Band, provided a work for Soprano cornet, and we will be working with him again when we record an album of his works for Wind Band in 2010. Although our work is primarily with Brass band, we are not confined to that medium. We can record your Wind Band, Choir or any other ensemble.

Clarence Adoo Trust
We were delighted to have been involved for the second time in a charity recording for the Clarence Adoo trust in February 2012. The featured artists for this recording were Leyland Band, Kevin Ashman, Davur Magnussen and David Childs playing music by Erik Leidzen.
